I use a bunch of stuff... I am currently using Nexxus Therappe shampoo and either Humectress or KerapHix conditioners with Emergencee special treatment a couple times a week (yes, my hair gets really dry). I really love Frederic Fekkai Glossing Creme leave in conditioner and/or Jonathan Condition Leave-In.

I get my hair cut and styled at an Aveda salon, and my stylist mixed up a custom color enhancing shampoo and conditioner there that I use sometimes; it's great for bringing out the copper in my hair, but I find the conditioning isn't as good with these.

HOWEVER, I do like the Aveda Brilliance line for styling... they have hair smoothing products and damage prevention sprays that I use a lot. I have naturally curly (VERY VERY annoyingly curly ;) ) hair and I straighten it out with blowdrying and flat-ironing, so I try and protect the hair as much as possible.

Finally, my lifesaver is John Freida Moisture Barrier Hairspray -- this stuff holds my "handiwork" with straightening and smoothing in place even when it's humid (other sprays don't prevent my hair from poofing out and curling back up as soon as I walk out the door in humid weather).

:D

Well shoot, guess I'll admit to being frugal!

I use Suave Professionals (moisturizing shampoo & conditioner), and Balsam Color for the gray. (.....Not that I have any gray! -Or am I in the wrong commercial here?)

I am an Aveda product girl all the way! I love their hair coloring, their Brilliant line, the other products, etc... however ... and this is the big grin -- I can't afford it, so I use it when I can, then I use other products, like Amplify.

I was VERY fortunate in that I won a gift basket from a gal that does hair and works at a salon supply store -- naturally everything in it was great products, so I am still using all of that up!

I have very fine hair, that is now turning grey, but I don't want to be grey yet... so, I generally do my own hair coloring at home -- a whopping $2- $3 dollars for the treatment -- and my hair in none the worse for it. However, I am hoping to be able to splurge on a salon color with some low lights before my sister's wedding in September, my step-daughter's third wedding in September (same day as my sister's -- now isn't that going to be a fun day or running all over the state!), and to look 'younger' for my October anniversary.

Just love it when we can afford to get the hair or nails done by a professional!

Fun thread... keep it up!

My favorite is TIGI Bead Head Self Absorbed shampoo and conditioner. I also like Biolage colored hair shampoo and conditioner. (since I get low lites)
To clarify once in awhile, I use Suave's clarifying shampoo.

Being a hair stylist, I have access to it all; however I'm a Paul Mitchell fan.

I recently started using Dove shampoo and conditioner about a month ago and I love how soft it has made my hair. My stylist just colored it today. She mixed an orangy shade of red with a shade of blond and I love it! My hair is naturally a dirty blond (I think!) For some reason tho, my skin coloring looks good with red hair. I get asked all the time if it's my natural color.

For styling I use Rusk Straight, it helps take the slight wave out of my hair. I also spray my hair with a heat protector (whatevers on sale) every day before I blow dry.

I am one of those people that if I have to spend more than 10 minutes to style my hair, I wont do it. Im very clumsy with curling irons and flattening irons.:bonk:

Interesting thread!

Oh gosh, I use whatever I am into of the moment, lol. I love Redken products, especially the Smooth Down line, and Framesi products, along with TIGI Bed Head (I love their hairsprays and stylers they all smell so yummy!) stuff. Even one of the guys at work told me "I love your shampoo!", lol, told him it's most likey the hairspray..... (well, I do do payroll, so when I get compliments I take that fact into consideration, lmao!!!! )

I use Back to Basics everything.

Hubby yells that I pay $12 for a can of hairspray, and a few weeks ago we went to Big Lots and since they had changed the can color Big Lots had the old style cans for $1.50 a bottle so I bought 18 cans of hairspray and put him in a panic thinking I spent a million bucks on hairspray.:smile tee

I use Color Reviving Shampoo and Conditioner (Advance Techniques) from Avon. I get my hair cut from the same gal I've been going to for about 10 years, called 'Paris Nail & Hair Design'.

Aveda and Modern Organic Products! I've also started using Deva Curl No-Poo Shampoo which is great for dry, curly hair. I have the best stylist in the world (I adore him -- we've been buddies for 8 years now) and he is the one who turned me on to all of these products. Getting my hair done costs a small fortune but it's worth it.

Ok Leslie, my lunch of soup almost came out my nose at you scaring hubby, lmao!! WAY too funny!!!! :)

Oh I have to thank my mom-in-law for my stylist, (I guess hubby too, he sees her as well when he's down there) she treated me last year to a cut, color whatever I wanted and I fell in love with the stylist! She's awesome! I have never walked out of a salon looking exactly how I wanted to. Usually, it's go home rewash and do over, lol.
