Last week, the ICA announced that it has chosen not to pursue a national meeting this year and, instead, will be launching four smaller regional meetings in the coming year including events in Bethesda, MD, Detroit, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Florida. The good news is that this certainly will reach more patients WITHOUT requiring the additional cost of hotel, air fares, etc. I think it's a very good move.
Other than the Bethesda Meeting (which will be held just after the NIDDK conference in October), no dates have been announced for any other event. Further information can be obtained on their website: http://www.ichelp.org
