It is with a lot of sadness that I tell you this. First a big thank you to all that have been getting the remedyfind newsletter's, and to all that have ever helped me with one. Also a lot of thanks to the support many of you gave me on these newsletters. I was just told by Bret Hodges the following:
I have been rethinking the RemedyFind newsletter strategy, and it is with regret that I have to tell you that I’ve decided to eliminate the host newsletter columns. As the number of newsletters has increased (now 24), it has become a huge, time-consuming job coordinating, scheduling and editing the columns, trying to find replacements for hosts who have decided to discontinue etc.. I’ve decided to simplify the newsletters considerably, and will be focusing just on member profiles and clinical research relevant to each condition.
That will eliminate my newsletter. I have to say I am very sorry to all the men that I have been working on a newsletter for....I will still try to finish it and post it but that isn't the same.
I have to say that this upsets me a lot since I have been putting a lot of work into these to help fellow IC patients...maybe some that don't make it here. I have a PFD, IBS, and researched Male IC newsletter that never made it into a newsletter yet. I am very sorry for this.

That's really unfortunate. :( However, knowing you, I'm sure you'll find a way to get this information out in some other form in order to help people. You can't not help people -- it's your calling!

Katrina...This is so sad for every one of us. We will not have the benefit of your wisdom and knowledge coming to us in that forum. But, I am sure you will make a way to impart that wisdom to us.
Katrina, you have done a splendid job and it is the newletter's loss. We are so fortunate to have you here on the ICN. We need your input and your presence, here. :kissing:

I forgot to say how much I appreciate everything you've done for me, and for all IC patients here and elsewhere. You really have been an angel to all of us, and I am so thankful to you and for your presence in my life even if just over the internet. You are a very special, wonderful person!
Blessings,
Lori

I am sorry too Katrina -- sounds like you have put a lot into this and that many were helped by what you were doing! We can hope that this closed door leads you to find another open one! Have your ever read "Who Moved My Cheese?" ?? It is a wonderful book for exactly this type of disappointment -- it is such an encouraging book, but more than that -- it is a hope finding book!
I do hope you will find time to read it -- it is a one day book!
God Bless!

Oh no! I am a huge fan of RemedyFind... and I didn't see this coming at all :(
Katrina, your newsletters have been awesome, and I felt honored to be included in the May edition! I learned so much from all of your newsletters, especially the one about alternative therapies for IC. It inspired me to try dandelion and Kava Kava, two alternative options that I wasn't even aware of before. Even though the dandelion didn't work for me, the Kava Kava is definetely helpful for painful flare-ups.
Come to think of it, I suspect I was introduced to RemedyFind a while back through one of your posts... and now I have rated over 20 remedies and read dozens more. It is a great site, but it just won't be the same without you as a columnist.
On the other hand, we will have you all to ourselves now :D
So keep the great articles coming, they will still help a lot if us here :grouphug:

I am so sorry, Katrina. This is a blow! You have put so much into this and have really been able to reach alot of people with the newsletters. I am hoping that with enough people requesting the reinstatement of these, that he will perhaps reconsider.
I am reminded of an a tv program that began a few years back. It was a program that did alot of good, but that just wasnt a big ratings grabber. The network dropped that show, but the public outpouring was so great that they were forced to put it back on the air. That program still runs today. That program is called "Americas Most Wanted".
I am hoping that something like that will happen for the newsletter. You have been able to reach alot of people and do alot of good. But, if this truly is the end of it, I agree with the previous poster that God must have another direction in mind for you, and I am sure he will reveal it to you.
You have been able to do so much good for the IC community just by posting here and moderating the boards, not to mention in your own community by running your local support group. It has not gone unnoticed. I hope that you know how important you are to the IC Community!
Thank you for all that you have done and for all that you do! I mourn with you for this loss. However, I know that there are still great things in store for you. I look forward to seeing what you will do next.
Sincerely,
Amy

Your right....I should trust in God that where I meant to be He will guide me to. I really felt that remedyfind was fullfilling something God told me I was meant to do back when I was a kid. I had been asking why, why, did I have these severe health problems (didn't know I had IC at that point), and I kept hearing the answer that I was meant to help others through my sufferings. Well the part I was never sure on was exactly how I supposed to do that but my first belief was in writting. That was part of why I was so proud of the remedyfind asking me to be their host columnist. I will still try to share my gifts with you guys!!!! I just want you all to know what is going on and why. Thanks so much for the support and encouragement...it means a lot. I may not have been getting payed but it feels like getting layed off regardless because I did feel it was part of what I was meant to do....but I am sure that God will guide me again and whatever I am meant to do I will findout somehow.

Katrina,
Don't let that one site get you down. Your work may be needed else where. Don't never give up hon. If you want to keep doing this you will find a way too!
Never give up on something in your life just because you ran into a road block. There is always ways around it!
