Well just on a hunch I called my uro's research center to see if there might be something for me. When I spoke to the coordinator, the first words out of her mouth were why don't you ask Dr. ???. I explained he has told me a little bit about his projects, but I think he realizes it is a long drive, and it is hard to get in sometimes. I mentioned I could do a once a month thing, but not a weekly thing. I told her about my retention...and she made me feel like my IC is not significant since I have a fairly large bladder for an IC patient. I told her how may retention even freaks out the dr (at times greater than a liter at a time). She then proceeded to tell me about everything I would not be qualified for...e.g. bion, botox,and asked again why don't I ask Dr. ***. I told her thanks thinking she wasn't interested, She proceeded to tell me for the third time to ask Dr. ***. Since she is the research coordinator, should she know about all the projects. I told her okay I would and I had been seeing him for over five years...At that point her tone changed...wait a minute and she told me about elavil studies elmiron and other things that did not work. I think he would be upset with her tone. Would you say anything?
