Are you drinking the Slim Fast? I have some but have been scared to try it.

Yeah, I drink it. Don't really care to much for the diet bars. I buy the chocolate and capacinno slim fast. Can't stand strawberry and not to thrilled about the vanilla. I buy the kind that has 190 calories to it. Costs a little more but has a few less calories. Guess I was eating more then what I htought? Plus, I gave up the sweets.

Awesome :woohoo:

You know, I used to hate the taste of the old chocolate Slim Fast drinks; they were all chalk-ish. But I think their new "Optima" formula tastes good. Just for the record, I don't drink them regularly to lose weight, I drink them once in a while to get the vitamins. Better than taking another pill!

So they don't bother your IC? I have the chocolate but have not been brave enough to try it. Guess I will never know if I don't try!

Hey Pam.

Well, no, chocolate Slim Fast drinks don't bother my IC, but I think I am much less sensetive to diet than most ICers. There are only a few things that affect me. Let's see, cranberry juice used to bother me, but then again, I haven't drank any of it in over a year, and I don't plan to ever drink any of that nasty junk ever again! Man, the government ought to put warning labels on cranberry juice to protect the innocent, ie: us ICers
Other than that, my bladder doesn't like lots of caffeine, so I avoid energy drinks and quite seldom have any coffee. That's pretty much it. I can have tomatoes, pizza, lemonade, and pretty much everything else. Oh, and dandelion also bothered my bladder. I was trying it as an alternate therapy, but it made me flare half the time.

So, anyway, whether or not I'm bothered by a food or beverage is not really a good indication of whether or not most ICers will be bothered by it. Maybe you can a post in the diet section asking about this?

Ok, Thanks. You're lucky you can eat those things. I can't eat tomatoes or anything with preservatives. I only drink water so far. Maybe one of these days!
