Need IC doc in NC

Hi, I am Julie and diagnosed with IC in the last few months. I am in need of a new doctor that is more helpful than my present one. Does anyone know of a good IC doctor in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area? Preferably female.

My neighbor is helping me with this forum. I am very modest and have a hard time talking about this. She hopes I will learn to use this group as a lifeline.

I replied to your other thread and recommended my urologist. His name is Dr. Robert Evans. He is in Greensboro, NC. I know that's probably about an hour to an hour and a half from you, AND that you'd prefer a female doctor, but if you run out of ideas I do suggest you try him if you feel you can do the drive.

He is an internationally known IC specialist, and he knows all of the latest and greatest treatments for IC -- and if you have pain, he will treat that as well. He is a really, really nice man and is very compassionate and understanding -- he is not gruff or scary in the slightest.

I live in Winston-Salem and I travel the 45 minutes to see him because I feel he is worth it!
