I was on Cyctoec for about 3 months with no relief and I was so hopeless because I was told Cyctoec was my last shot. Before bladder removal of course. So for those of you who this didn't work or just working check out the new thread for Cyclosporine. ICLori is the noe who started this thread and it stopped helping her. Don't feel discouraged and at the end of your rope.Right now there are three of us taking CyA. I'm 24 and was diagnosed as having the worst bladder on the books (I'm sure alot of you have been told that too) and that there was nothing more my drs could do for me. It was like they were sending me home to die. The only problem there is that IC won't kill you. So I fought tooth and nail to take Cya and I want to spread the word on it. I've been on it for 15 days and I'm doing exceptionally well. My bladder pain is alomost gone and I feel about 60% better so far. So if you get a chance check it out.
I also want to say Yeah !!! for those of you that are truely helped by Cycotec. I know that this can be one of the last stops in terms of treatments so don't let it break you if it doesn't help. Believe in yourself and fight like hell to survive. I truley believe that ICers are the strongest breed around. So I know what it's like to feel like there is no hope and no other treatment to hold on to.
I love this commnity so much because it got me thru tough times and I just want to tell others that all hope isn't gone. If anyone has any question about Cyclosporine A or even Cycotec please feel free to ask. I"m an open book and I'm here to help anyone who needs it. Take care and stay strong.

Glad to hear is working for you!!! and thank you for the words of encourangement.
I'd like to know what are the main side effects of these drugs.

Currently I'm on Elmiron and still waiting to help me with pain. I'm not sure if I can take that drung for long b/c of stomach problems. Another rx my uro prescribed me is Lyrica which I haven't started b/c I read it causes some eye problems as side effects---> I have very sensitive eyes, very very dry.
So I have to be careful with oral meds.

If you check out the threads under experimental (cyclosporine A) you can find everything you need to know. It goes into great detail and if you still have questions feel free to ask me.
