Hey everyone! It's been a rough 5 days since my stim came out but I think today I may be turning a corner. The antibiotics and pyridium plus have seemed to help and I think my flare is starting to calm down:woohoo: My fever is down today and the spasms and pain are at a tolerable level. Thanks so much for all your words of advice, comfort and compassion. I really needed support to get thorugh this.

My incisions are still really sore, but he good news is... where the battery pack used to be, it doesn't hurt anymore. I can actually push on it a little bit and I can definitely feel the difference. The pain is now from the surgery, but that horrible, awful deep ache is gone!!:smile tee The pain where the electrodes were is still there, very tender deep inside. My Dr says it will take some time for that to go away as he had to dig pretty deep to get all the wires and electrode pieces out.

I'm still having trouble with bladder/bowel control, that is something I may have to deal with for life. But for now I'll deal with it one day at a time. I'm trying to think of the positives, and for today the positives are the pain is tolerable and I'm not running to the potty every 15-30 mins. I'm up to at least 1-2 hrs between trips.

Thanks again for all your prayers, you are all in my prayers as we are in this together. I'm so grateful I've found you all and can share with women who "know" what my life is really like. It has been a true blessing during this roller coaster ride. I hope that I can be of help and support to some of you in your time of need.

Hi Baileyrose..:hi: ..I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better today and the Interstim is gone!....take it easy and get lots of rest, that's what I am doing. I also had surgery 4 days ago to remove a blockage from my ureter...I have been taking short walks around the yard with the dogs and enjoying the sunshine.:puppy:

Hi Baileyrose....Glad to hear of the improvements. Every time I had surgery with my InterStim, it would take around 4 months for my body functions to stabilize. Those sacral nerves make quite an impact on our body. Your Dr. is correct in that it will take time for everything to heal....

SO glad you are getting better and you site pain is decreasing!!!!! Isnt it wonderful to have that awful hip/tailbone pain going away!!
You have been such a trooper thru this all, I know how hard these past months have been, so I will pray for continued healing and no aftereffects.
