After arguing with former UR for several months I switched to new Urlologist last year. He diagnosed overactive bladder or IC he wasn't sure which. Gave me some enablex to try and it didn't work but my only symptom (frequent urination) went away completely after three weeks after I stopped the enablex. I will go several months at a time and feel completely normal with no urinary symptoms, taking no medicaton and then boom a flare up with the constant need to pee.

Is it possible to have OAB or IC and they symptoms completely come and go like this? Their is a history of diabetes on my moms side so I'm going for the full physical and blood work at my GP.

Anybody??

Before my diagnosis of IC my troubles were hit and miss. I'd have good days, then all of a sudden a really bad symptom day. (at the time I had no idea what was going on). But, after my diagnosis and learning about how diet can be a huge player in how you feel, I realized that most likely was the reason for a lot of my ups and downs. Good days I probably hadn't had food that aggrivated me, and bad days I'd probably loaded up on the no-no's.

Have you modified your diet??? If you haven't it was a really helpful tool for me to keep my symptoms down to a dull roar, lol ;) Diet, stress or hormones were usually the culprits for me of my symptoms coming and going. :)
