I live in the St. Louis area and, as you may or may not know, we don't have a support group here. Seems crazy since we have such a large city. I was thinking of starting a support group. It would sure help, though, if I could make a few contacts with other IC patients first to talk that all out. So, if you are an IC patient who lives in St. Louis, please respond...or if you know of an IC patient who lives around here. It helps so much to have those contacts and they are hard to get through your doctor. One other question: Does anyone know of a good way to make contacts through the urologist...in other words, is there a good mechanism for getting at least the addresses of other IC patients that live in your vicinity through the urologist's office? Anyone have any experience with this?

Best wishes to all those IC patients out there. It is so helpful to know that we are not alone. These message boards are very helpful in that way!

Hi there! While a doctor's office probably can't give you other IC patients addresses maybe you could leave your address (or safer yet, e-mail address) at some doctor's offices with a flyer about wanting to start a support group. Then patients could pick it up and choose to contact you themselves.

Hope this helps!

If you contact Jill I'm sure she can provide some information about starting a support group. Her email is jill@ic-network.com

Good luck!
