I was able to step outside my office for 15 minutes to watch them! It was a nice diversion.

Well, I'm a day late and a dollar short!! But I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th as well.

I was going to go to a friends house and watch the fireworks, but it rained in the early evening so we didn't go anywhere, then it stopped finally. When everyone started their fireworks and all, my dog started shaking and barking, so I got a little bit of whiskey out and some milk and mixed that up and gave it to her, (just enough to calm her down-- slept through the night- should of gave me some,too). My friend called and asked where we were and I told her I was watching my dog and she said is that how I calm her down - (she thought I was kidding!! - because her little dog was doing the same thing)
Anyway, the card was really nice. Thanks.

Mary, my MIL's vet prescribes her dogs lorazepam for the 4th of July to calm them down. I wish that I would've given my pup some before we left! She ate the carpet in the bedroom while we were gone!
