Hi everybody,
I have not been in in almost 1 year. My IC has never been really bad, but I hope it is ok that I still show up now and then. Things have been crazy. I was able to find a job teaching (hard to find here in MI) and it was a horrid crazy place. I mean crazy...I had to teach in a portable that animals kept dying under, passed out from fumes from a deodorizer, there was a knife fight, and a whole lot more. Well they let me go, I mean I got fired from a crummy job. My father also died 1 month ago and it is so hard for me. I miss him very much, I am an only child and my parents are divirced, so it all has fallen on me. I take antidepression meds already. I have had to clean out his mobile home, I have some of his stuff in my front room. He only had a will so I have to open an estate and inventory every thing. Today was my birthday and it was rotten. My husband got sick and I have not had any dinner or cake or the such. I have also had to watch the kids all day w/o a break.

First of all, :birthday: I am so sorry that it hasnt been that great today, or lately in general. I have been fired before too.(many times, actually!) I have even been fired from the same company 3 times!! (And I STILL went back again! But I quit the last time. What can I say? I am semi-incompetant due to pain IC and pain, but I am alot of fun to be around! :) ) I know it hurts, but EVERY single time I left a job, I always found a better one. You will too. Sometimes things happen for a reason, and God must have something better in mind for you.
I am very sorry to hear about your father. That must be very hard for you. You are indeed a very strong person to have gone thru all that you have. It is normal to be sad considering everything that is on your plate.
I do however, think it might be a good idea to talk to your dr and ask for an antidepressant to help you thru this difficult time. There is no shame in taking them. Practically everyone I know does, myself included. There are lots out there that also help with IC. If you are already taking one, then perhaps your Dr. can adjust your dose a bit to help you through these difficult days.
I hope that your situation improves soon. Please remember that we are here for you whenever you need a friend. Hugs, Amy

:birthday: Happy Birthday from one July 2 baby to another.
I can understand how crummy a birthday can be under stressful circumstances; so to you I send my empathy and sympathy.
Try to make the best of whats left of the day...you deserve it.
Take care
Diana

I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing. :grouphug: I hope that things get better for you with each passing day. I'm also sorry to hear about getting fired from a crummy job. Hey - you didn't like that job anyway & you were looking for one when you found that one! I believe that things happen for a reason & this obviously happened because you weren't happy there & you didn't belong there! Hopefully it won't take long for you to find where you're supposed to be, though. And :birthday: ! When the kids go to bed, take a nice hot bath or relax & watch your favorite movie!

Sorry for the troubles you are having. Teaching at a bad school is never fun. My first two years of teaching were at a rough high school, teaching remedial biology...a 9th grade class, but most of my students were 18-19 yrs old! I was bummed when I was "let go" due to overstaffing, I had never been let go from a job in my life! But that led me to find another teaching job in middle school in a smaller district with an excellent reputation, and I have been there and very happy for the past 6 years. So even though being let go was hard, it turned out to be a true blessing! I hope you find another job in a better school district. :flower:
My condolences on your dad's passing. :grouphug:
I hope you can celebrate your bday when your husband is feeling better!
Best wishes and Happy Birthday!

First off, :birthday:
Second, Ive been fired from a few crummy jobs myself. Last year, I came home for lunch, and told my fiance that I might be fired some time soon. I was fired 3 hrs later! I was glad though. After that, I worked at a Harley Davidson dealership (very cool!) for 6 weeks until I found the job that I have now that I love. I celebrate my year anniversary there at the end of the month.:woohoo:
When my grandma passed 3 years ago, I was a mess. I went to her grave site a month later. I had trouble finding her grave. I was so out of it the day of the funeral, that when I went back I didnt have a clue where she was. And the cemetary isnt that big! (tiny town)
I know things rough right now, but something I have always remembered is that God will never give you more than you can handle. Keep your head up and remember that we are thinking about ya!:grouphug:
