I have not used chiropractic, but am considering it. I'm dealing with bladder pain following surgery a year ago. I also have fibromyalgia and lower back and hip pain. I'm wondering if it's all connected. It might be worth a try. Good luck!

Has anyone ever used Chiropractic for there IC and there VVS? Yes my chiro says there is a linic up around L3 disc
where the nerve to the bladder is involved. I have noticed some relief after treatment. I have a sacro iliac joint that keeps slipping and I have to have treatments sometimes 3 times a week. But definately not a cure.

When my IC is acting up, I can always tell a difference after an adjustment. I don't know if there is really a connection, but I do have a herniated disk at L4-L5, and when I get adjusted, it seems to help my symptoms. Oh, and a real good massage helps me too! :D I try to get a deep tissue massage at least once a month, because it every time my lower back gets really tight, my IC tends to get worse.

Lower back plays a huge role in pelvic issues. All the nerves that go to bladder, pelvis run through the lower back. Injurys to that area effect the bladder, and pinched nerves and problems in that area can cause pelvic floor disorders (nerves cause muscles to become chronically irritated and then cause pain), It can play a role in incontinence issues, many things.
Most good urologist check ups will involve a look at the lower back and question you about injuries and pain.

I go to the chiropractor once a month. I think it helps, but accupuncture has helped me the most. My insurance pays both, luckily.
