View Full Version : Intestinal Problems with Cystoprotek?
I have been taking Cystoprotek for a few weeks now. I have only taken at most two a day and have recently only been taking one a day. Every morning I have noticed that my intestines feel very strange kind of a loose feeling. I have also had some loose stools. Has anyone experienced this? Does it go away or can it get worse? Is there someone who is an expert that I can call about this? Is there a company hotline?
I'm still hoping for some input here. I don't know if there were no responses simply because no enough people have tried the product or if no one has had any problems.
I have been taking the product on and off for about 1 1/2 months. The most I have taken is 2 a day with the average being one a day. However, each time I take it consistently for a period of time. I begin to have intestinal cramping and loose stools.
I have noticed a significant reduction in bladder pain and my times voiding has decreased and I am able to drink substantially more fluids while extending the peroid of time between voids.
I would like to keep taking the product as it seems to help me. However, in 2001 I battled a severe intestinal infection caused by antibiotic usage called clostridium difficile which results in terrible intestinal cramping and diarrhea. I worried that the cystoprotec may be causing it to return. Anyone have any input?
I've tried to contact the company but have not gotten a response as they tell me that Dr. Theo???? (sorry can't remember his name but I know an article by him is on this website) is sick and not able to respond at this time.

I couldn't take this product because it caused me severe stomach pain. You can search this board using the search engine at the top of the page and probably find other people with similar problems

Hi, have you tried freezing it? That is supposed to help with digestion. Otherwise, you could call Algonot. I just called the number for ALgonot and they will have customer service return your call.

I agree with Holly ... try freezing them. And usually the customer service people at Alganot are real good about answering any questions or addressing any problems you're having ... I'm not sure why you haven't been able to get an answer......Also, are you on other medications?
The only other medication I'm taking is Flomax, which I have been on since February, so I don't think that is causing it.
I'll try to contact the company by phone. Last time I used email.
