I was wondering, if you got a yogurt maker to make it at home would it still have the same IC flare issues that ones bought off the shelf have? I only had the thought because it is fresh.

Good question. Dairy is really bad for me, so anything is worth trying
If you make your own yogurt, try to use almond or rice milk instead of cows milk. Cows milk is acidifying the other two aren't. I have seen ice creams made from other milks for sale. Soy milk expecially. I don't know if you can tolerate soy or not. Let us know how it turns out, i would like to try that recipe myself.

I guess I need to look more into it. I already drink a lot of rice milk so that is a great idea! I'll post when I eventually give it a try.

I just saw one of those yogurt makers for sale on one of those shopping channels, I was wondering the same thing. :)

I didn't realize cow's milk was acidic, what about lactaid? Any thoughts?
I have never tried the lactaid. I'll check the ingredients today at the super and see what's in it.
