Cipro Questions??

Hello -

I was now put on Cipro for a current UTI and taken off Bactrim. How long do you normally have to be on Cipro to see improvements? I'm feeling a little better but still having a lot of incontinence and I was told it was probably from the infection and should clear up. My other questions are can I take Cipro with Detrol LA and should I avoid dairy products while on this antibiotic? Thanks for your help and have a nice day.

I think you need to avoid taking it near dairy and other antacids but as long it has been 2 hours since you have taken it you can take dairy. Yes you should be able to take detrol La with it.

as far as how long to see improvements it depends on how bad your infection is. Sometimes only a day or so would be enough....sometimes more like a week.....it has varied a lot.

I'm feeling ok but still having some back pain and urgency and lots of incontinence which is driving me crazy. It's only been Day 2 so I'm hoping it clears up. I think my infection is pretty bad since I let it go for a long time thinking it was my IC in a flare. I hope it didn't go to my kidneys. Thanks again for your help.
