Florida- any military or military dependants?

Hello,
My name is Dawn & I currently live in the DC Metro area. My husband has accepted a job in Orlando & we are going to live in some place called Fruitland Park. I am having trouble because all of my specialists are on the USS Comfort deployed to the Gulf right now. I have no idea how I am supposed to get referals or case summaries or whatnot. None of the docs that were left behind can see the suddenly doctorless patients for two or three mths. Anyone know of good IC docs in FL. that take tricare prime??? even if they are not near me I could ask them for suggestions closer to home. For that matter, I'll take suggestions on other specialties too, Neurology & Rheumatology if anyone knows of them. I am trying to get things set up ahead of time & having zero luck. Tricare gave me a list of providers but I don't know how to check them out ahead of time. Sorry to talk so long. Thanks.

Hi Dawn. I think that the best source for that info is to call the support group leaders currently in Florida. They often know who the best docs are, as well as the ones best avoided! You can find a list of support groups at: http://www.ic-network.com/activism/

Oh thanks Jill! I don't know why I didn't think of that myself! Great suggestion! I have so much to do with selling the house, packing & all that that I am not thinking so clearly...lol..I'll post a message to them right now!
