I have been on Cystoprotek for almost one bottle now. It is SO hard for me to take 2 pills twice I day, I always space on the lunchtime dose.
Anyway, my stomache is totally fine on them, not freezing them or anything, but I do suffer from acid reflux which I take OTC Prilosec from and has been very very undercontrol for sometime. Now it is bothering me again.
Could the Cystoprotek cause acid reflux and if so what is in it that would do that? Would freezing them help with that problem too?
Thanks

I think that would be a logical next step. If I were you, I would try it frozen and see if that helps. The company recommends you take if frozen if its causing any kind of stomach upset. I took one unfrozen and it gave me horrible stomach pains, heartburn and intestinal pain. I haven't gotten up the nerve to try another one. I plan on sending mine back.

I too would do them frozen, lol, in fact I do ;) I have a tendancy towards heartburn and take Rx Pepcid for it, so I do everything I can to not rock the boat. :)
I just read tonight (in my latest shipment) that if you are having stomach problems to scale back the dose. It says that if you experience stomach upset to try freezing and staying at the same dose for a couple more days, or drop your dosage to 2 pills twice daily with meals. But you are already at 2 pills twice daily, lol. Freezing helps pass the pill through your stomach before fully dissolving in your stomach, which is why this is recommended if you have a tendancy towards tummy troubles. For me as well, the lunch time dose is the one I am most likely to forget, I have no idea why! Maybe because I come home for lunch and am just trying to get lunch made and eaten, etc. But I get my morning dose in and my dinner dose. So, 4 are better than none!! LOL I think I read somewhere it's 6 pills a day (3 doses of 2 pills) for 3-4 months for full benefit or 4 pills a day for 6 months for full benefit....
And if in doubt, give them a call!! I know that they are very helpful in answering questions and helping you solve problems!! ;)

I meant to say that I am still at 2 capsules 3 times per day, I have only been on it for about 3 weeks or so. I just have a hard time remembering each and every dose. The way I remember is by putting the bottle on the kitchen counter where I will see it.
If I put it in the freezer out of site I am really worried I will forget to take it.
So, freezing them in no way effects the potency or effectiveness of the contents?
What system do people use with meds so as not to forget to take them?
Have others found freezing helped with heartburn?

The company and Dr Theo advise to freeze them, it just helps them past your stomach a bit better... I can't answer on whether it's better or not as I just frozen to begin with, as I know my stomach, lol. I have a big note on my desk at home, on the fridge too, lol. I know what you mean, for me it's hit and miss on the lunch time dosing!!! I just do the best I can ;) I should probably tie a string on my finger, but then I'd forget what the string was for, lol

I stuck a note to my refrigerator with a magnet to remind me to take each dose. I chose the refrigerator cause that's where I seem to spend most my time. LOL Maybe you could stick you a note somewhere that you pass every day a bunch of times? Or maybe notes at several different places?
