Elmiron takers, have a question

Has anyone drank alcohol while being on elmiron? anything happen? what did you drink and how much? Did you skip your pills that day to drink?

I've had alcohol while taking Elmiron and have suffered no consequences. According to my pharmacist there should be atleast an hour between taking the medication and alcohol consumption. And no, I did not stop taking/skip dosages beforehand.

Of course, if youre not completely sure about your meds mixing with alcohol dont hesitate to talk to your pharmacist.

While I have basically given up alcohol completely due to taste alteration and effects with all my meds, I did drink 2 frozen magaritas Monday afternoon.

I had no problems. Not even bladder pain!

I too pretty much avoided alchol as a rule (still pretty much do, due to medications etc), but the occasional beer I didn't have a problem with when I was taking it. ;)

I've avoided alcohol, though it sounds like it might be safer than I thought. I wonder if there are any known reasons why Elmiron and alcohol wouldn't mix well (?)

awesome...just dont feel like throwing away my youth for this stupid disease..im on atarax, and when i drink, i skip the pill that day... no probs so far...i mite not even skip elmiron now...
