My first in office cysto was a very thorough one to check me out for bladder cancer, which was negative. My symptoms surprisingly dissappeared for 6 months! We repeated the cysto when my symptoms returned, but I think the uro was just going through the motions, not thorough at all, I don't think he even looked at my bladder for 5 seconds. Of course, this time the symptoms remained. And here I sit in pain!
Might just be that it's not uncommon for symptoms to come & go, especially initially.
When I got IC, I had it for about a week, then it went away for a month. I thought the antibiotics had worked. When it came back, we tried antibiotics again, with no success, and this time the symptoms stayed. When I got my medical file, the dip test for infection and the culture had been negative all the way along. I'd never had an infection, but the symptoms had stopped for a time.
What treatments have you tried so far? There are a lot of treatment options available and most of us do find relief with one or more of them. You might start with the diet, which is available in the Patient Handbook linked at the top of this page.
Hoping you feel better soon!

It may have been a coincidence.
