How do you handle mood swings after a hysterectomy

I never had mood swings in my life . But since after my hysterectomy I have been having hot flashes and mood swings. For you that had a Tah ,how do you handle the mood swings?

Even with a partical i had mood swings at frist until my body adjusted. Call your Dr. if your not already on some type of harmones and ask to be put on some this should help you with your mood swings, hot flashes, etc.
If your already on some type of harmone medicine they may need to change it for you.

IT dosen't matter what type of hysterectomy you have had, as long as they took the ovaries hot flashes are at large :biglaugh: and mood swings come and go.. A very big THANK YOU to Leslie she told me of a natural menopausal balance called Black Cohosh, I also take wellbutrin xl.

its been in the 90's the las couple of days, and I have never sweated so much in my entire life... my suggestion to you is to research what is out there for menopause. I rather deal with it then take a synthitic drug, it has been proven that certian ones can cause early signs of Dementia.

I had to start HRT. I was having hotflases to the point of vomitting with everyone of them, I had to double the dose 2 weeks later because it was no better. At my 6 week check up she added Effexor XR to the mix for the moods and also the hotflashes, they use this antidepressant also for cancer patients who can't take HRt to control the hotflashes and so far so good.

how wonderful leslie, I am still "sweating" it out... If it dose get to the point I can't deal with it, I will really consider taking something.
I know how bad your hotflashes are, I prayed that they would stop making you so deathly ill.
