I'm grateful that my parents don't say "I told you so." And will go the extra miles to help me even though I'm supposed to be an adult. I told them I wanted to move to another apartment without my husband. My mother said, "Hire movers and let them do the packing." My father said, "We'll cosign the lease." The latter because I'm not "working" and only writing my dissertation. They didn't even press for 'why', and all I said was, "I'm tired of dealing with his unrealistic expectations in life."

And grateful because they are covering my health insurance and medical bills right now. And the cat's medical bills, which are fairly extensive.

And while I'm at it, I'm very grateful for my terrific vet, who is keeping my old kitty alive and happy.
