My youngest son is graduating from H.S. this Friday. I am so happy. ( sometimes we thought he wouldn't make it- due to the problems he had in some of the schools he went to)-- We lived in the Austin area and he just couldn't handle it so when we moved to where we are now outside of Georgetown, boy, his grades went from D-F's to A-B's. (The difference in the attitudes with the teachers and all - as they don't take the stuff that the other students give to the teachers). Anyway, having a little gathering for him at home Friday afternoon, with family and friends. Staying home from work Thrusday as well, as getting ready for this, my mom asked me to make deviled eggs about 2 dozen or so (so I guess after this I don't think I want to see another egg!!??)
He told his father and I that he doesn't want to go to College right away, that he wants to get a job, we told him fine (like I said, school was tough for him) but we want him to go maybe next semester and if that doesn't work out then thats ok. (afterall, school isn't for everyone.)
Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know about this.

Congrats to both your graduates!
Mary, I bet you were relieved to see your son do better in school after your move! I'm trying for the life of me to remember where Goergetown is in relation to Austin! Up towards Cedar Park? I lived in the Marshall Ford area for a number of years.
Kids just grow up too soon don't they?!

too fast.. lol Ashley too pulled up fron cand ds to a's and b's.. I believe it is all in the attitude of the teachers, and the willingness to help them.

Vicki B:
Yes, not too far from Cedar Park. Its about 30 miles from Austin. (maybe about 15 miles or so from Cedar Park- so not that far).
Thanks all, my son has overcome a lot of hurtles in his life. So in away, he is just like me.
