Just remember that if you are still having any problems with it, you should check back in with your doctor.

Warm hugs,

wow, I am glad you felt up to going to the uro to have your interstim checked after a hysterectomy. Did he do x-rays to make sure it was all in the same spot? I do agree with Donna if it contiues to give you problems go back and let him know.. Hope you have a speedy recovery..

Yes it is very important that if you continue to have problems with the InterStim go back and let them know. Just a word of warning, my InterStim looked fine and so did the leads when I had my x-rays done, it was when they got in there that much more damage was done than what was showing up on the films.:grouphug:

Kim,
I'm glad the interstim is okay, but got to ask did they do an x-ray to make sure?? You know I don't have an interstim, but have hear, read, and talked to many patients that do have them. Each and everyone has always told me that an x-ray is the best way to tell if the stim has been moved.

I'm glad you where able to get to your uro, and he found this UTI before it got way out of control. I also got a serious UTI after my hy.. Its was hard to tell that was the problem since my bladder was so upset from the surgery it self and the cath.
remember to try to rest i know its hard to see others doing things for you. Its also its hard to just lay down all the time, but you really need the rest. exp. right now with the organs figure out where they need to settle since other organs has been removed. those organs that are trying to settle are sore from being moved around so they could do the surgery also.
this is a very serious time in your healing process and rest is very much needed.

Of course you know i'm only telling you this as another patients point of view who has went threw a partical hy.
with IC.

REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST

sending hugs and prayers.

I'm so glad your interstim is in place and resting comfortably! As someone who had also had a hysterectomy the best thing you can do for yourself is rest. It will help your interstim placement as well just in case something was disturbed a little but maybe not moved.

Hang in there and take care of yourself. Again, glad the ol' stim has stayed put!

Rhonda it didn't turn into a partial hysterectomy I had a total hysterectomy . about a year ago I had one ovary removed because of cancer. Last week I had the other ovary and tube removed because it was in torsion. they removed my uterus because of endo and adhesions and also remove my cervix because of borderline cervical cancer. So I have none of my female parts left all I have left is a vagina.

I do believe Rhonda was refering to herself when she said particial Hysterectomy.
I am not sure what torsion means, could you fill me in.. Its always nice to keep learning new things. I am glad that they took everything, so you will no longer have to worry about dysplasia. You really must feel like you have been thru the mill with bieing 5 weeks post op with interstim, and a week post op with a total hysterectomy.. I have been thru both too, but not within a month of each other :grouphug:
Sending you lots of hugs and Ihope you have a speedy recovery.

Cindy,
Torsion is when an organ or tube like area of the body twist on themselves and the blood supply is cut off. It can happen to pelvic organs, and happens to guys in their testicles, which is where most people hear about it. It is usually a very acute situation requiring quick intervention.

Kim,
I was referring to myself when I said particle Hy. I understand since you had other organs removed in the pass then this surgery that it is now a whole hy. for you. I wasn't questioning that what so ever. I'm sorry if you took it that way.

I just was trying to tell you what happen to me, and how important it is to rest if you don't get the rest you need then more damage can happen.
I know your in a lot of pain dealing with all this recovery and a UTI on top of things. I know your suffering. UTI plus recovery from a major sugery just don't mix...
sending hug and prayers

Yes I understand now . I didn't mean anything by it I thought you were referring to me when you said partial hysterectomy. I apologize that I got it mixed up.

Kim, I am relieved to hear they didn't see signs of a problem with the interstim. I hope it is working just like before once you are healed from your hysterectomy. That torsion Barb described sounds awful and certainly would explain your pain, especially in combination with the IC and adhesions :( . I am so, so hoping that your troubles will be behind you once you are recovered from surgery.
