pain never had before

for the first time ever, i have pain in my bladder area, im a male and its rite under my naval and to the left of it. like half way point between penis and naval...i have IC, but is this pain from IC? its not when im urinating, its just whenever. do u guys have pain like this? or does it only come during urination...i work out everyday at the gym pretty hard with weight lifting/cardio...cud it be from that?

I am a pain patient, there are many things that can bring out IC bladder pain.. your diet, stress, working out may have a factor on it too.. I would diffently let your doctor know about the pain you are having.

I also did not have pain in my bladder for the first 6 months that I was experiencing IC symptoms. After that time, I did experience increasing pain for about a year. I only have bladder pain occasionally now, more often just burning. But only in my bladder...urinating does not cause me any pain, before, during, or after. Excessive physical activity causes my symptoms to flare.

Just as a precaution, it's a good idea to talk with your doctor about any new symptom. It could be the IC, but there are also other possibilities.

I also get pain on the side of the navel, just alittle bit lower. I did ask my family doctor about it and he said it is a intestine spasms. Maybe it is, but I don't think so. Sometimes the pain is so sharp that I cannot move or walk. I think IC creates things we don't understand or maybe it is something totally different. Hope you are feeling better.
