Need a good urologist/ uro-gynecologist in the Bay Area

I'm moving from LA to San Francisco in a few months and need a recommendation for a doctor anywhere around there, preferably a female. I think they listen better. Anyone know of one?

hi: there is dr. payne at stanford, but that is a male doctor. the only female urologist i know of that deals a lot with i.c. is dr. deng (i think this is the spelling) in the dept. of urology at ucsf. you could look her up on their website. i think she is good and i know she will even give her patients her email address and return emails they send her with questions etc.

Dr Aitan Melamud is pretty good. When I first went to him he started me on Elmiron right away. He just took some urine samples and asked about my symptoms. You can reach him at (650) 692 1300. He is in the Bay Area in Burlingame.
