Now my surgery is getting close I am getting nervous about the out come . I am also really nervous about them leaving the catheter in for 24 hours my bladder hate catheters my ic will flare and also I will get an infection. I was happy to find out that I don't need to do a bowel prep because sunday is my birthday and that is the day before my surgery.

Whew....getting right down to it...The nerves are sure to be expected!! The cath may cause problems, BUT just think....for at least for 24 hours you won't have to get up to pee!!! (SICK, I KNOW, huh? LOL)
And no bowel prep!!! Yayyyy!!! Are you only NPO after midnight on Sunday? If so, maybe you can enjoy a nice birthday (IC friendly) dinner to celebrate your day!!
I hope the time goes quickly for you....we're here for ya....keep posting as you need to!!

If you weren't nervous about your surgery, I would wonder about you! It's totally normal to be scared of a major surgery.
Sending gentle hugs,

Surgery is always scary; I'd be scared too!
I'd make sure you get a good night's sleep tonight; maybe take a hot bath and read a good book. And maybe take a book with you....I take one with me everywhere anyway, but they really come in handy if I"m nervous..you can occupy your mind and not sit and dream up horrid things. :smile tee
I'm sure everything will go great!
Good luck again!

sorry i didn't get to wish you a happy Birthday yesterday Kim. so happy delated birthday hope it was a good one.
Don't worry about the surgery. It will be worth it in the in. at first it may not seem that way, but once your healed you will have some less worries, and that is always a plus!!
it may not help the pelvis pain, but will stop those awful cramps during that time of the mth, and stop a lot of others problems you where having to deal with.
sending you hugs and prayers for a fast recovery.
Rhonda
