I'm just feeling so lonely right now. Nothing seems to take my mind off of it. Waiting to see doc this week and looking forward to it. I'm just depending on there way to much. Just wished I could find one person to be with but I know that will never happen.

Sorry that you're feeling so lonely. IC can definitely isolate a person, but you have a lot of friends here to talk to. You can PM me anytime. I hope you start feeling better.

(((HUGS))) I'm sorry you are feeling lonely and down, I feel that way too sometimes. This disease can be very isolating, and it's so very hard to live with, isn't it?
I'm hoping and praying for good news for you from the doctor at your next visit, I hope that you will get a medicine that will work for you and take the pain away!
Blessings,
Lori

Big :grouphug: to you. Better days ahead.
I have been struggling with anxiety and depression, and have just started to see a professional counselor. It was a scary decision, but one I had to do. You may already be doing this, but have you considered seeing a counselor? I'm really hoping it will help decrease my anxiety and depression, things that I think are really exacerbating my IC, VV, and IBS flares (mind-body connection). It may be a helpful step as you wait to see a dr., especially since you are under great stress and depression just trying to find a good dr. I am not a brave person, but it felt really good to talk to someone. I know it will not "cure" IC, but it certainly can only help and not hurt.

I agree with July, I think a counselor could be very helpful to you in dealing with the depression. Many people are helped greatly just by having someone to talk to about things. This would be particularly beneficial to you since you are feeling so alone right now. Hope you feel better soon!
You may have to explain to the counselor what IC is specifically, but their experience in helping people with chronic ongoing illnesses and the associated stress/depression/anxiety is what really helps. I procrastinated in getting counseling because I was scared, but finally made some phone calls and talked to different counselors. The important thing is to find one you feel comfortable with. I was scared I'd be too shy to open up, but actually was able to do so rather easily. Again, the important thing is to find a counselor you feel comfortable with, and to move on if you do not think it is a good match. Do what is best for you :)
Prayers always,
July
