i sent in a post earlier re my probbs and the possiblility that they may be yeast related. I am currently visiting the toilet more frequently than I'd like, feel very raw and irritated, burning sensations. I seem fine over night and in the evenings it is better - but this morning after 3 hours clear i had a shower and wham the irritation was back and I needed the toilet again - the rest of the day has been the same. Seen two drs both say anxiety and no UTI, but I now have lower back pain. Thia seems familiar to me - I've suffered numerous BV and yeast infections for the last 9 mths - can these be related to what i am experiencing now? Very worried and down, having panic attacks too which is not helping - they strated just before this happened - great timing eh :help:

Yes. Especially if showering seems to trigger it. I know with me I used to take a yeast med anytime I would shower, bathe, or do anything that increased my moisture down there...frustrating!

Raw, irritated, burning...pretty much describes yeast to me!

Sure hope you feel better soon!!:grouphug:

Make sure that you are using only warm water to rinse down there or a very very mild soap like liquid cetephil. Some people use Dove but even that if scented can cause problems.
You may need a trip to the Gyno to get a wet prep and see what is going on. The lower back pain, itching sounds like it could be yeast, but wont know until somebody looks.

Believe it or not even very hard water can be irritating. Also as weird as this sounds ; when we had a water softner every time I showered I had a terrible red sore vulva area. Finally one of the water softner people found out the softner was using more brine that it should and this was in the water. We replaced the water softner and then things were OK. When I showerd in a hotel or not at home I had no problem.
Sometimes tracking down just what is causing it can be a challenge.

Sammie is right....I couldn't handle bathing until I starting adding a lot of baking soda to the water....and I love bathing and should do so since my PFD is so bad....and showering .....would always mean I had to pee after wards....and that is just the water not the yeast risk (sorry I thought about adding these things after my computer was already off and than forgot until Sammie posted....thanks Sammie) Still....raw and burning would normally be yeast in me....my terrible tap water would just increase my frequency ....and so fast I would have to go before I was done showering. :grouphug:

Hmmm...question, ok my symptoms are burning in urethra, burning when the urine touches my vagina - outside -raw, and pelvic pain and pressure...like I have a tight corset on...I also have low grade temp, pain in my flanks and no bacteria present in my cultures....Could yeast be a factor???

Also...forgot...lots of gassiness, and bloated belly. Also not too much retention..I am measuring how much I pee at a time :) About 1 cup - 1 and 1/2 cups...this is about normal? I do pee alot though 15 times a day...am I drinking too much water? I drink between 2 - 3 litres per day.

Thanks,

Carolyn

Yes....I highly suspect that yeast is factor in you Carolyn. I would go to the doctor and ask to be on Diflucan for a bit ....if that helps you I would try to find a good probiotic. (although considering that gas you may want to do that even if it doesn't have much of an effect on some of the other symptoms)

Hi everyone, they have at last found out what has been the cause of my urgency and frequency. I had to see another dr to be signed off and that dr insisted on doing another urine test - she found an infection - she said that sometimes early on they can't always be detectable, she has now sent it off to 'grow cultures' or something and put me on antibiotics, which have eased the symptoms a little, not as fast as I would like, but then I've had the 'infection' for two weeks before it was picked up. She said the the burning sensation I am feeling is related to that. As I'm on antiobiotics I am now waiting for the yeast to flare up, just to add to burning down there! I don't want to upset my bladder as I'm recovering but are probiotic drink OK? This is day 3 of antibiotics now so hopefully things will improve a little more. take care and thanks for the support.
Just a question can you have burning sensation feeling but no outward sign of thrush?

Many doctors will tell you to take a probiotic while taking an antibiotic.....the thing about it mainly is that the probiotic is less strong while you are on an antibiotic ....but also more necessary.

Definate yes! on the can you have a burning sensation wiout the outward sign of thrush. My first symptoms of a yeast infection are what it does to my IC....burning and iritaiton at the urethra....if I don't take care of it I start to feel a slight itch....I don't dare let it go beyond that if I can help it.

Causes of burning: UTI, Yeast, PFD, acidic urine, nerve problems...:grouphug:

Hope you feel better soon!! :grouphug:

Hey, have been on probiotics for two days...feeling great!!! I think it was a stupid yeast infection causing all my pain...that or my sunless tanner.

Thanks,

Carolyn

I've continued to feel the burn - not overnight, don't really need the toilet overnight but as soon as I get up and go to toilet the burning starts. Back to Dr another urine test to see if infection has cleared. Taken a swab as well this time! We'll see. I have tried putting some emulsifting cream on the area and that hs reduced the burning sensation. Still feel like I need to go more than I'd like and at times feel like a little leaks out - is that normal for a UTI?

Ugh back to the burning tonight....couldn't last long. Anyway my husband now informs me that his pee has been burning for 3 weeks..hello, maybe we have been passing the same infection back and forth....could be a reason for my huge flare

how does he feel on the probiotic? Men can get yeast too (I know some that have). Just like you can pass a bacteria infection back in forth you can do that with yeast too....:grouphug: Hope you feel better soon!
