Pregnancy with IC?

Ok wow, nice that I just wrote a big long post then for some reason it deleted when I went to post it. Ahhhhh, the story of my life!
Anyway, I'm a mother of two and was recently diagnosed with IC in Feb 2006. I have been following the diet for the most part and been taking Elmiron and already feel WAY better. I know, I am so LUCKY! I sleep through the night and have so much energy and feel good. I never had much pain associated with it other than once in awhile sex was very uncomfortable. For me it was the constant getting up to use the restroom. Usually only 10 times in the day but about 20 times at night. No more!
I feel so good infact, that we are considering having another baby. We were thinking of getting pregnant around September of this year. I wonder how others have felt going through a pregnancy with IC. Was it better or worse?

:welcome: to the ICN!! Some have been worse with pregnancy some have almost remission....hopefully you will get some helpful insight on the subject here!!

I also had only mild pain, but using the restroom alot. Elmiron really helped me also and I used it until I confirmed I was pregnant. I felt great my frist trimester except for morning sickness and have felt pretty good now that I am in my 2nd trimester though I am having some urgency (could be I am eating alot of lemons just crave them). So for me I feel going ahead with geting pregnant was a good choice good luck

Well Thursday I will see my OB about possibly already being pregnant. I do have an IUD in place but haven't had my menstrual cycle. He did say that some women do quit having their cycle after a while. We'll see if that's what happend with me or if my husband just has super sperm. hahahaha
If I am not already pregnant, I will discuss with him some ways I can better plan ahead for when I do get pregnant. He is the same doctor treating me for IC. How fantastic is that?!?
