I just have to know if any of these things I have been seeing or I THINK I've been seeing anyone else has seen,,,Do you see pieces of pink tissue come out? Or even what looks like blobs of red jelly pass? Black dots, or rice shaped objects, (I wonder if these are some kind of kidney stones?) Does your whole abdomen ever blow up and stick out? Do you feel like someone is yanking your legs out of your hip sockets? :bonk: Thanks!

I haven't seen those things in my urine, but I have had cathed samples (no contamination, in other words) come out cloudy and murky - full of "stuff." Who knows what? Maybe bits of our bladder lining?
I haven't gotten the abdominal swelling with IC (just lucky I guess) but I have heard of many who have had that symptom, it's very very common with IC. I haven't heard of the legs being yanked one yet but no symptoms would surprise me - I feel like IC affects much more than just the bladder, or maybe it's just that it refers pain and we feel it more places than just our bladder, I don't know...
Blessings,
Lori
P.S. The blobs of red jelly - sounds like me when I get my period - that sounds like blood clots. Has your urine ever been tested when you are passing those? If so, did the urinalysis detect blood?

well lets see... I have had the pink tissue, asked the doc and he said it probably was my bladder lining. the red blobs are probably blood clots-i would talk to the dr about that, just to be sure. i had some black dots one time when i did a urinanalisis at the docs office when i asked they said that it was probably a scab from one of my pinprick spots in the lining of my uterus. never had anything rice shaped or kidney stones...if they were kidney stones thank your lucky stars they didnt get any bigger cause they would have probably hurt really bad (my mom said hers were worse than childbirth once, and she was in labor with me for 26 hours and 72 hours with my little brother) I have had "IC belly" several times, i am not a small girl by any way, shape, or form. when I had it this week a friend came into town (talk on the phone all the time, but first time to see each other in 6 or 8 months) and she started chewing me out for not telling her I was pregnant, i started crying and told her "im not i just look that way, being pregnant wouldnt hurt this bad" it hurt for my cotton drawstring pj pants to touch my stomach and had to sleep without them for 2 nights... As for the hips popping out of socket mine dont feel that way, but frequently feel like i have pulled them out and popped them back in (shoulder does this from time to time so i have learned the pain) it hurts really bad. hope you feel better soon. :grouphug:

You seemed to already have your question answered so I'll just add:
NOTHING is too graphic. This is a place to ask any question concerning this disease and if anyone is grossed out by the content here they can go someplace else : D

It would be a good idea to ask your doctor the next time you have an appointment. If you're feeling more painful, however, you should be checked very soon. Usually some particles in the urine aren't significant, but if they're accompanied by pain, it could be a signal that there's an infection brewing.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was wondering if my eyes were fooling me..
I had a total hysterectomy 2 yrs ago, so there is no other way I'd be passing blood or blood clots..I also just wanted to know if other people have seen these same things with IC so I know then I know that it's normal for IC and I don't need to worry, or I if should tell the Dr because maybe I also have a different problem..Gosh the weird thing is I always thought all this pain was intestinal, IBS, I never thought it could have anything to do with my bladder!
