If someone is put on say Detrol LA or Vesicare of whatnot for OAB. . . but it turns out maybe they don't necessarily need to be on it, can that cause problems for the patient? Cuz I was put on Vesicare cuz I use to have horrible frequency, but turns out that was probably mainly from actual UTIs that I have had, and now I think that taking the medicine just might make me worse. I think it may be causing the feeling in my urethra that I need to go all the time. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I have been taking Vesicare for about 6 wks and and it has helped me with urge, frequency and incontinence. I haven't noticed any urethral irratation brought on from the medication. That sounds more like an IC flare, an infection or vulvadynia. Taking AZO Standard (which is over the counter) really helps.

Can anyone recommend a good pain killer medicine that won't cause IC symptoms to flare? I've seen Percocet mentioned quite a bit. Any others or is this one the best?
