This is the new trial that had just been approved for IC while I was actually sitting in The Dr. ofc. I will be the first to get this done for IC. They use it for other pains but IC this sill sure be a welcome thing for me to try. Didn't know what it was called. My Interstim will be removed on Monday so symptoms will get worse before I get the new machine but I sure am hopeful!

I hope the new procedure goes well. Also when I had my 1st Interstim removed it was pretty painful. Due to scar tissue and the way the old leads were placed it was not a pretty time.

Thanks for the heads up. My stem is old and probably only has a year of battery left in it so sooner or later would have to come out. I didn't realize the stem was coming out as well as the device. So the pain threshold will be high? Yikes. I found out on Friday after three weeks to a month my symptoms will worsen and I'll have to keep a diary like the stem and then they will do the temp and after about two weeks then the bigger better machine goes in. I'm hopefull. This is something that I have been clinging to cause I would really be happy if I could one day work again, Pray for me please! Thanks for the info and how long were you in recovery mode?

It took me a good month or longer to get over this one. Because I had the old unit and lead removed (old unit removed b/c it was in my waist and I lost a ton of weight which made it stick out) then had a new one and new leads put in. I also got a deep tissue infection which made recoverery a little longer. :grouphug:
