energy w/o Provigil?

:rolleyes: I am lookin for any suggestions of what people take to voercome the narcotic pain killer fatigue. Sleppin through life isn't right. I started takin Provigil but it dazes me. Any suggestions

My own experience with pain meds has been that it depends on what and how much I am taking, I sometimes wish they would make me sleep, but I seem to have a backwards reaction to narcotics (there is some fancy medical term for it but I cant remember it) they keep me awake, even the Fentanyl patches didnt knock me out, but I do get dizzy and just not quite "all there" (which my kids say is me all the time..lol).
I was given provigil and took it one time, my bloodpressure and heart couldnt handle the stimulation.
Are you seeing a good pain managment Dr, not one who just gives you another RX for every symptom you mention to him? Sometimes it seems all they want to do is write RX's, try talking to him about how the meds are affecting your life and see if you can come up with a plan to ease your "drugged" feelings.
