question about Urised/Usept

Hi all,
I just got Urised from my doctor. I had always taken pyridium, but lately it wasn't working much for me (and it makes me really sick to my stomach). When I got these Urised, it didn't have much information about side effects... I've taken a couple, and it seemed fine but I'm still a little sick to my stomach.
So, I thought I'd ask, what side effects do people get with this drug?
Do you take it with food or without?
does it work any better than pyridium for you?

The only side effect I ever had with the drug is diahrea at first but it went away. I never had upset stomach from it. I find it works better for me better than pyrduim thanks to urised, interstim and I feel pretty good these days. Knock on wood.

Barbara, I haven't been on Urised, but will be interested in your experience with it. watch out for an e-mail from me this weekend, btw. I've been under the weather and behind with a lot of things.

I've taken Urised and was able to tolerate it much better than Pyridium. I still have some onhand in case I need it for bad burning and pain (which, thankfully is rare these days.)

If it upsets your stomach a little, you may want to take it with some food or a piece of bread. It's also important to take it with enough water -- at least 6 oz.

Urised always helped me more than pyridium. Never take too many @ a time though bcz it will make your bladder burn!! I believe it has an antiseptic in it. I used to take it with my pain meds all the time, the only other drug that I used to take. (nothing else helped) Never made my stomach hurt but, it did make my mouth & eyes dry lsometimes ike all these other antispasmodics.
