View Full Version : Fullness bruised feeling
Does anyone get just a general heavy feeling in your lower abdomen and pelvic area, kind of like your insides are bruised or aching, and this is relieved temporarily by urinating (not really urgency to go)? Is this an IC symptom or could it be a related condition?

When I'm flaring it feels like severe menstrual cramps.

Yeah, I'm familiar w/ that. Unfortunately that feeling you described has sort of become a "good day" LOL

plus nausea, often
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that nausea goes along with it, also.
I've heard good things about the book Headache in the Pelvis. I'll have to get it.
So, IC can present with that full, bruised achey feeling instead of the frequecy/urgency issue?
That said, I have been experiencing urgency in car rides lately.

Urgency with car rides is a really common symptom. Right before I was diagnosed I couldn't drive for more than 10 minutes without desperately needing to find a bathroom, even if my bladder had just been emptied. It was awful and I remember banging the steering wheel in frustration when caught in traffic, having to pee so bad it hurt and it was all I could concentrate on....
Wow, I'm not the only one that gets frustrated in traffic...which in turn makes the urgency worse because of the stress. Sigh...

Interesting thread. When I first got sick I was really nauseaous. Had completely forgot about it until now. I also have had days since then, never really put two and two together. Just thought it was medication. Now that I think about it, it was at times when my bladder wasn't agreeing with something that I had eaten. Very interesting...
