stomach problems?

For the past 3 weeks I have been dealing with my abdomen swelling and gaining weight despite trying to exercise a little every day. I went to my regular dr and he told me I had an illeus which is the stomach not working correctly and not digesting things. He did an x-ray and it didn't show a blockage or anything. He ordered a cat scan and it was clear however I still can't go to the bathroom on a regular basis (bm) and my stomach is still swelling. It is not quite as big but it is still happening. I have an appointment with a digestive disease specialist on this Monday to see if he can find out why this is happening. Has anyone had these symptoms due to IC or any information for me. I want to be prepared when I go to this specialist. Prior to this I have had IC for a year and hadn't had my stomach swell like this. At times I look 9 months pregnant.

Sounds like you have the IC belly...mass cells at your abdomen...are you taking an antihistamine?
What meds are you one? Many meds can cause weight gain.

your constipation could be because of PFD....which is very very common amoung ICers.

I use a stool softener every day. Colace, it helps while not a laxative.
