very confused about symptoms, etc.

hi.

i was diagnosed with ic a couple months ago, after a cystoscopy. i am currently on ditropan. i was on atarax, also, but stopped it due to excessive side effects.

my symptoms are leaking and frequency and urgency. my doctor has scheduled me for a cysto cmg in a couple weeks to check for any neurological problems.

i was told to take a blue pill for a few days to see if i am leaking urine or another substance. my pad was not very blue but felt very wet. does that mean i am not leaking urine, but rather something else?

i am so confused. in addition, i recently became sexually active with my boyfriend and during sex i feel absolutely nothing. no pain, really, but definitely no pleasure. does anyone else have this symptom?

we have a vacation planned for next week. the following week i see my gynecologist and also urologist. i suppose they'll be able to help me figure this out. but in the meantime, does anyone have any insight to all this?

Hey there Jennifer! :) I wish I had some answers for you, other than it's definitely something to talk to your doc about. Maybe if you gave them a call and reported your findings (wet pad, but not very blue etc) they may have something to work with so that you could start getting closer to some treatment that will help you out! ;)

Hopefully others will chime in with some ideas/insights/experiences!!! Do keep us posted though as what you find out! Oh I wish I had a vacation planned, sounds like fun!!! ;)
