I am 54 and post-meno by several years.
I never any bladder problems til after i started having intercourse last October after years of none. :bonk: Then, one yeast/uti infection after another. :headbang: Finally, my Gyno said i needed to see a uro and no more intercourse until further notice. Gyno put me on Vagifem (estradiol tablet inserted) due to very thin vaginal walls.
Saw Uro and he did cystoscopy - everything fine. CT scan on kidneys and uretal tubes - again all fine. He put me on Vesicare. Still no intercourse til next visit.
Anyway, i've never had 'burning urination' pain. But, i have had terrible pain/pressure above pubic bone and entire bladder and on both sides of bladder. Pain radiates down to the vagina - even to the extremeties of the vagina. I have had constant, unrelenting pain in bladder area to the vagina since last intercourse in late Feb. :headbang: I've only had 3 sporadic days with very little pain - usually it's a pain level from '1' - '3' and sometimes when it's a '3' for a long time, i take Advils. It had been a '7' or '8' last Feb., so the pain level has come down. At those levels (or above a '4') it wakes me up at nite with tremendous pain and nausea. I seriously think i could throw up from the pain.
no food/drink ever has bothered me, either.
any ideas or help would be great! :bunny:
