Tracey,
I'll vouch that you did indeed reply to the keyring photo--youre not crazy..:loco: ..haha...I think another one of your replies to something I've read recently was missing as well.....? Maybe whatever took the keyring followed me here and stole your post!..haha.
Kitty isnt what I'd call a tortoise shell--his markings have started to change though over the last year. When you first look at him he appears to be solid black, except of course the few white hairs on his face/nose; though when he gets into the sunlight he comes off as looking a bit tortoise-like..does that make sense..?
And you must get yourself a pair of Crocs. They are, in my opinion the most comfortable shoes ever made! I've worn nothing but Crocs for the last year, and unless something drastic happens, I'll never wear anything else.:)
I'll be awaiting some more pics of your flowers. By the way you talked you have PLENTY to photograph!..:) :)
Til next time...

Sharon,
The cake has been cut; I called your name several times yet never got a response from you. However, there is still cake left, so come on by. I'll even brew you a cup of decaf coffee or tea to complete dessert..:)
After the boys got their fill of cake :birthday: Kenneth broke out the acoustic guitar and provided some entertainment..:) .............

Rosalie,
How I wish I could be an action photographer..haha! Those shots were nothing more than pure luck being on my side. I've got plenty of blurred images stashed away for each one of the halfway clear shots..:lmao:
Tell ya what, when your daughter gets her photog degree she and I can meet up somewhere midway so I can get some professional pointers from her :help: . I'll mark my calendar now. :lmao:

Oh yeah, I agree VERY kick-a$$ pics there D!!! But, as I have read over and over is now my mantra - the more you take, the better your odds on getting at least one that's perfect, lol. Thank god once again for digital! I still have over 16 rolls of standard film to develop - I just can't afford it. I did have more, but had started taking them in 2 at a time, lol - only to figure out that out of all the rolls there were only one or two shots I loved. Digital is my best friend for cost-wise. But I do love regular film, it's so exciting waiting to get them back and then trying not to rifle through them until you get home...lol.
(oh thank you too for validating that I'm not TOTALLY crazy, only slightly crazy in regards to the post, whew!!!)
Hmmm, I think you might have a tortie there, just the fur colors are so dark, it only shows up in the sunlight, the nose kind of gives me the thought on that with the bit of white. And the head shape looks right, lol. Here's a few pics of my 2nd tortie that I'd had (she passed away back in 2000, was only 5 but doc figured she'd had some kind of kidney disease/defect etc.) Funny thing though, the first one I had, was with my 1st fiance, she was so small had to bottle feed her (Trixie was her name). Then Scooter here came along while I was engaged to first husband, I rescued her, as her mommy had given birth to kittens under the porch of the office I worked at, and I found her. But ended up putting her back so momma wouldn't worry - I got home and cried the whole night long that I should have brought her home, she was so tiny and had a cold in her one eye. The next day I took a box and towel with me to work and said if she's there, she's mine. No kitty. Came back from lunch and there she was. On the porch in the corner. Momma cat had moved all the other babies and left her. Did she find her way to the porch? Or did momma kitty put her there? Always wondered about that. But once again another tortie AND another one I had to bottle feed - what are odds? Still waiting for the next tortie to find me....
Here is Scooter:

Tracey...Scooter was on gorgeous cat!!!!! Those eyes...oh my goodness!!!!
D...You must have called for me when I was in the shower. I didn't hear you. Do you think that if I were to give you my mailing address that you could send me a piece of that cake? No, :shake: on second thought...it probably would melt before it arrived. :(
BTW D...I loved the action shots. Maybe you should send them in to a Skateboarding Mag?
Rosalie...Can I come over and play with your doll house?

Tracey--That kitty of yours sure had some big eyes and a big head. She looks like she was quite the camera ham :) I take it by your posts youre quite the cat lover. I'm not real big on cats so how we ended up having one living in our home is beyond me :help: :lmao: I think what bothers me about cats, my cat specifically, is that kitty only likes me when he's hungry.
Sharon--thats a bummer that you couldnt hear my call. :( I guess though with the water running and all the singing :elvis: it is kind of hard to hear. Its funny you should mention mailing you a piece of cake 'cause I had it all boxed up and ready to ship when I suddenly realized that it probably wouldnt survive the trip.
Oh, and Sharon, remember the rule of playing with toys..?--the last one to play with it has to put it up. Looks like you've got a job on your hands if Rosalie lives by this rule..:lmao:

So now I am doing a bit of a brag here. Today my daughter and her band played at a local function and were very well received. It was the first time that I had actually heard the gorls all together and well, of course, I was impressed.
Next thing we will be organizing their national tour! My daughter Hilary, is in the blue... check out the blue docs!

Allright, since the above poster is having a brag about her child I feel that we who have kids, be it the 2 legged kind or our furry four-legged variety, should follow her lead....which is what I'm going to do..:)
Look, Kenneth also plays bass. Do I see a possible international hook-up in the works...maybe?
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e178/dg4832/th_IMG_0511.jpg (http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e178/dg4832/IMG_0511.jpg)
Kenneth yet again on his board...

Kenneths photog skills. Hey, yet another commonality between the two nations...hmmm...
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e178/dg4832/th_IMG_0508.jpg (http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e178/dg4832/IMG_0508.jpg)

So, they must arrange a meeting, maybe a battle of the bands? followed by a "shoot-off"? Girls against boys? I vote yes!

LOL, sorry took so long to get back here! Ugh! Why thank you Sharon, she was definitely one-of-a-kind, that's for sure! I didn't call her Princess Scootie for nothing, lmao - she was quite the camera ham, D is totally on the mark with that one! Her tail was sooooo long, it was funny, she used to sit there pristinely with it wrapped around her, just like in the picture. Sure do miss the little bugger!!
Yup D, I am a total cat-nut, lol. Well, to be fair I am an ANY kind of animal nut, love them more than some people that's for sure! LMAO!! Only problem is it's so hard when they pass away for me, I usually end up devastated, *sigh*. Actually I can't stand to see animals of any sort even dead on the road, I have been known to break out in tears. It's just so sad and heartbreaking to me, I can't stand it.
Hmmm, I don't have any human kids, but have had my furry kids - I must come up with some brag shots!! LOL!!!! LOVE the girls band - that is the most fabulous thing I have ever seen, girl power in action! Yeah!!! I had always wanted to be a drummer, there aren't many (or weren't many I should say, lol) just like my dad. Alas, not to be. But I do get teased cause I keep the beat on anything that happens to me in my vicinity!! LOL
And I tried a skateboard once, had one when I was a kid - my uncoordination and that thing did NOT get along well, it just fascinates me to see them do the stuff your son is on his D! WAY cool!!!!!
Ok, off to bed for me, just hopped on to come here, lol ;)
Love you guys!!!! :)

For starters I feel bad for saying "those of us who have kids"...gotta go change that right now..hang on..brb.......OK..changed!..Man, I hope I didnt offend anyone who read it before the change...:(...If so, I sincerely apologize!
Now Tracey, I just had to go back and look at your Scooties tail..haha..indeed it is long!..haha..way too cute!...I could tell she was a camera ham by the look on her face. I also have to agree with being an any kind of animal lover--I'm the same way. I have a soft heart for any species. I too prefer animals over people the majority of the time, no doubt!
Referring to Miss Hilary's band: isn't it nice to see a group of girls who share the same interests get together and make something happen??!! :woohoo: love it! I know from seeing Kenneth and the band he plays with (they play mostly Christian heavy metal), it can be very time consuming and takes dedication. Rosalie, I hope Hilary and the girls continue to play together..:)
Now I'm wondering, Tracey, why havent you become a drummer? Whats stopping you? Do tell, cause this inquiring mind wants to know! :) :)
On to skateboarding..haha..this is a painful subject for me. I was a skateboard fanatic when I was younger. Then that fateful day came to be when Diana hit a rock and went flying. I was on the sidewalk, yet landed in the street--my knee hit the pavement first then my face (that might explain some things today :hmm: ). A broken knee and mangled braces (thanking those braces otherwise I would have lost 5 teeth) were the result. it took me many years to get on one again. I actually have one now that I ride..haha..(picture attached). I keep my fingers crossed that Kenneth (and his friends) dont suffer anything quite like that...I wish I had a picture of one of the skateparks in Va Beach--sadly, last week someone set fire to it and burned down the large vert ramp. Its the biggest skate park around, draws hundreds of kids per day, and now they're w/o anywhere to skate until the city rebuilds it--to the cost of $200,000! <sigh>
Well I've rambled enough. Its bedtime for me as well--some 436am..haha. I'll be out and about tomorrow so I must remember to take the camera!
Tata for now y'all!

Hey D, I don't think you offended anyone at all! There was nothing wrong with the statement that I could see!! :smile tee No worries!!!
She had the longest tail, I used to call her Monkey girl, she reminded me of an organ-grinder's monkey, lol. She only weighed about 6-7lbs, so she was one long tube of fur with a monkey tail, ha ha ha! Yeah, every time I hear that song, "the more I am around some people, the more I like my dog" (country) it cracks me up, as I can sooooo relate!
Ugh as for the drumming ambitions, lol. I started working with my dad on it a bit, but then he passed away and I just never went any further, and where I live in the land of nothing, lol, there wasn't anyone readily available to help me out. So, I think photography jumped in it's place, lmao! Well, and karaoke as well. No need for a band then, as my other aspiration to be in a band was hard to come by - once again, around here, it seems to be reserved for all the males...ugh. My only connections were only looking for male leads. *sigh* Oh well, as I said, there's always karaoke! LMAO!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
OH OUCH! You tried the death-defying stop the skateboard with your face and knee trick! Sounds like it was a success though! LMAO!!!! Oh D, that had to hurt like hell, ugh. I had an incident when I was 5-6 maybe (?) on one of those green InchWorm things you'd ride - the plastic worm with wheels. I hit the crack in the sidewalk and went over face first, not pretty. Not pretty at all!!!
Why on earth would some one be so stupid as to burn something like that? I swear I will never ever understand some people sometimes. Ugh, makes you just want to scream. And cry at the same time, at someone's stupidity. Geez.
Well, off to bed for me! We got a brand spanking new mattress and box springs today and I am sooooooooooooo excited! Our old set was well over 10 yrs old and I think it was most definitely contributing to my horrible back problems, so we got a new one...oh it's heavenly!!!! Off to go put it to use - hubby's on 3rd shift this week, so I get it allllllllllllllllllll to myself the first week! (well, so does he, lmao!) WOO HOO!!!!
Nighty night!:hi:

Hey y'all!..:)
Tracey, thanks for the reassurance about not offending anyone. I know some people are sensitive when the subject of children comes up, however I wasnt thinking when I made that post until I read your response.
Tracey, I think you need to run to the local music store, purchase that set of drums and get back into it! If nothing else can you imagine the stress relief it would provide??? :woohoo: .........And let me say I'm sorry about your dad. I wasnt aware that he had passed. :kissing:
Now, I lost my coffee when I read about your little ride-on Inch Worm! I had one too!!!..:woohoo: I loved my little green Inch Worm!!!! Ahhh, the memories-it almost brings tears to my eyes. With that said, I wasnt aware that they could be so dangerous!..ahahaha..sorry Tracey that your Inch Worm caused you pain. I have a mental picture though of you inching along (cant you still hear the sound it made as it was inching?????), hitting the crack, the inching noise stops and the screaming Tracey picking herself up off the sidewalk..haha..sorry!!!.I'm sure it wasnt funny at the time!
So, since youre sleeping alone tonite I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask how the new mattress is holding up? is it all that you'd dream it would be and more?..hahaha
Til next time everyone...
:hi:
Diana, who's now got memories of little green Inch Worms running through her head!
