I take it right before I eat - my understanding is acts upon the food you are eating at the time. I know the bottle says something like "take regularly 3 times a day" or something of that nature, I just take it before I eat something that's questionable, and it acts immediately on/with the food. ;) Like if I am going to have soda, I take it right before I take the first sip...or with the first sip, lol.

Hi,

Usually I take it just before the first bite of food. I think the directions say take two with every meal. But it also looks like lots of folks use it mostly with problem foods.

Best wishes, littlebear

I've been taking it more like the bottle suggests as a supplement. It's calcium and I've read nothing but positives about taking calcium. I'm a believer in the stuff!

Hi!

Prelief is an over-the-counter supplement (calcium glycerophosphate) that takes the acid out of acidic foods and beverages. Our recommended dosage is to take 2 Prelief tablets (right) with each meal and snack. Prelief is taken with all meals, regardless of foods eaten, because while some foods are obviously acidic, other acidic foods are not readily recognizable as such. (Each Prelief tablet contains 65 mg of calcium.)

I hope this is helpful....
