Urinate Anytime I Want!!!!!!!!!

I tested something today, i pressed on my lower abdomen and i urinated every time i pressed down for about 15 minutes, urinated every single minute for 15 minutes! Does anyone know what it means if all i have to do is press on my abdomen and i can pee anytime i want? Can anyone else do this or is it just me? Thanks, wambagirl

Just tried it and nope, didn't work for me! Actually I had the adverse reaction, couldn't go!

Sometimes pressing gently there helps me. I have to be very gentle and knead like a cat would (this is how one of our other moderators, Dianne, described it to me when I was new and asking for help with retention). Problem is, usually that's where I have a portion of my IC pain, so I just don't want to poke around. However, if it works for you, I say, go for it. It seems that this would be a better technique than straining to urinate since this doesn't stress the pelvic floor muscles as much :)

Thanks for the replies yaw, but Sarojini i know it's a better technique, but i guess my question was is this not ridiculous for me to pee anytime i want, i didn't get anymore replies, therefore i'm assuming i'm the only person who can press on my abdomen and pee every minute, i know u told me to go for it, but i don't want to be like this always peeing, How can this be IC?

Sarojini, I do the exact same thing! I think that learning that method was one of the things that helped me overcome PFD.

No i haven't been diagnosed with urinary retention, but it makes sense that i have it! Only diagnosed with IC, though i haven't been to a uro in awhile, i need to go back! Another thing that has been happening, sometimes when i have a bowel movement i don't feel like i completely empty and it makes me pee, but that may be cause i already have to pee anyway, since i pee about every minute of everyday!
