:) I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but I really don't know where else to post this,....I had bladdersurgery when I was 14 years old, and I have this scar that runs across my bladderarea just above my pubic area, now this scar is about 34 years old, never had a problem with it, but for the last 3 days the scar is red and it hurts when I touch it! I don't know why such an old scar would all of a sudden do this?? ..do any of you think it could come from the inside?? It is located just over the bladder, I would really appreciate any thoughts on this, thanks!!

HI!
That's really odd! :hmm: I'd start putting a topical antibiotic OTC on it and see if that would help, like neosporin........if it doesn't go away soon or progresses you need to call you doctor! I've never heard of that before, but I'm sure a GP or dermatologist would know.
I hope it gets better!

This should not be happening, you really need to see a doctor to have it checked.Let us know what happens. Judith

Sometimes if you either lose or gain weight, a scar can itch. I do agree that if it's looking inflamed, you need to see your doctor.

If you start to run a fever before you see the doctor then go immeadiately to an Emergency Room as it may be infected somehow. Hope you can a doctor soon!

:) ok, first of all I really want to apologize to all of you who replied to this thread for not replying sooner, I got sidetracked with other things, and forgot to let you know what happened, the scar returned back to it's normal colour and the pain is gone, I don't know why, it's a mystery to me!! it's never happened before, like I said I got that scar when I was 14 and now I am 47, anyway thank you so much, and again I'm sorry!!!
