hi I am new to this site I'm 27 and have been diagnosed with IC for about 3 years. My previous urologist who was wonderful, no longer practices, so I am seeing someone else soon...I am nervous to see a new doctor. what sort of questions should i ask. I am currently taking Elmiron three times a day...and for the most part it has been helpful. I am going to ask my new urologist to prescribe this again.
Last week I had a bad urinary tact infection and am now taking something for that too. Does anyone have any suggestions on medication I can take with the elmiron to prevent further urinary tract infections? Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated:)

http://www.ic-network.com/handbook/ heres a link to the handbook its can be very helpful. The diet was helpful for me. Its hard to say what medications will help or not since were all different definately talk to your doctor about your concerns.
