:woohoo: We just bought a house. A 3 bedroom mobile/modular on a quiet tree lined street just out of town. Lovely area.... Something I never thought we would do! Instead of feeling really happy though, I feel stressed and scared. It takes two incomes to manage a 3 kid family and home. My husband works hard, but doesn't make the best wage. Now the pressure will be on me to work as well. But that;'s life right? I have managed to work from home for a few years, but because of money issues, I am afraid it won' t be enough anymore. BTW, does anyone else live in a larger mobile/modular and really like it??? In a way I AM happy. I get to act like everyone else and have a home and be in debt now!!! LoL.

You'll love having your own home! And even though you have to cut corners to stay within your budget, you'll still love it.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Your feelings of anxiety are completely normal! Buying a house is a big step in life and it's scary. I had major anxiety and buyers remorse whenever we've closed on a house (we're in our second because of a move). I also came to love both houses and both neighborhoods so each was really a wonderful move for us in the long run.

Congratulations! My husband and I also just purchased our first home, and have been living in it for about a week now. It is a bit surreal. It is truly a neat feeling, and very exciting! Have fun!

Congrats on the new home purchase!
I certainly understand the dual income thing. My DH got a new job a year ago. And while he does make better money, it isn't enough to cover our old debt and current expenses.
Sometimes I wished that I could work part-time so that I could have more time to rest, but then I wouldn't have any benefits so I guess I will hold out as long as my body will let me!
Good luck to you and stay positive. Enjoy the new place while it's new!!!!
