Hey there!!! I was just gonna do a quick post TO you (quick, cause I'm really hurtin!!!). I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble.....I really hope for you to be able to get a good doc....(aren't you seeing a NEW GYN soon?) too!! You've responded to mine and a few other posters who have recently come into the good fortune (?) of finding an excellent doctor!! I hope the same for you too!!!!
Also, I really thought my symptoms were GYN related....you probably read that I have an enlarged uterus...large fibroids in (and a small one on) my uterus, and large ovaries with some type of cysts on them. I thought FOR SURE this doc I met yesterday was gonna say..."Hysterectomy"!!! And HE DIDN'T...he said my pelvic pain is my IC!!! I was truly shocked!!! I know everyone's different and I don't know you're history, but I just wanted to share that with you too!!! I do hope you get some relief soon!!!

my pelvic pain is not ic related last time I saw my uro he said it wasn't . my fp and gyno said it was from endo ,adhesions and an ovarian mass.

:bunny: I just got off a six month treatment of Lupron for endometriosis. I loved it. towards the end my pelvic area felt great, my bladder felt great, and my mood swings were even. i just stopped it a month ago, so we will see. I felt so great on the lupron i wont hesitate to do a hysterectomy! good luck

Amy~ Hi...

I'm thinking about Lupron too. How did you tolerate the side effects? Much menopasal symptoms?

I did awsome on Lupron. My moodswings disappeard, and my pain was gone! I did experience a few hot flashes. But Hot flashes don't hurt. You just get hot. That was about it. However, my sister did the Lupron and she had trouble sleeping on it. She said it felt like her heart was racing. Again it was not painful just annoying. I was very hesitant at first to try the lupron, and now i was not ready to stop! The bummer is right after i stopped of couse my IC flared up. It calmed back down so we will see. good luck.

I would be doing the Lupron for Endo, but my Gynocologist thought there might be a link to helping my bladder as well.

Are you on any meds for IC?

I refuse to do lupron to many bad side effects and it only last 3 months. I will never ever do lupron again.atarax,elavil.elmiron, pain meds ms contin, urised and my interstim has helped me also.

HI Emillyrose.I had awful pain with my endo which went undiagnosed for nine years. Then i went to a wonderful gyno who had to do a total hysterectomy,i was poorly for a while but not to have the pain or monthly is wonderful now.the bladder pain is bad enough without endo on top.I don't know your exact circumstances, I can only say that my experience meant getting some quality of life back.best wishes for whatever you decide :)

i also was on lupron after my lap. it hasn't helped me at all.i still have the pain i had before the surgery. i also did not like the side effects. had you had a lap done? you need to find a reproductive endocronologist. one that specializes in endo. there is a place in atlanta that does excision. laser doesn't work well. it justs comes right back. there a website endocenter.com
that has great info

I have had severeal laps over they years and my new gyn don't believe in laps. He says no matter what surgery I have done it will be done as a laprotomy.

I hope all is going well and getting better, I so know the feeling of heating pad on the belly. I have the same as you, just got out of the hospital Wednesday and she thought endo and perhaps more, when she went in both ends she only found IC and my bowels were sluggish so I need to get on them. Do you find that? My excuse with the pain was ic too. However I did have a Dr. put me on a high potency estrogen birth control pill for I don't know and I have no pain, hmm, no pain in sex or anything but just have to pee every 10 minutes. Any suggesstions for my issue.
