My doctor said she doesnt know what to do anymore which i have heard by other docs b4. She wants to do DMSO in a couple weeks. Does anyone know of any good clinical trials...i know im not old enough but the doctor said somethin about my parents signing something so i could do it. I need help really badly. I cried the whole day along with my mom. And im taking my sadnesss and anger out on my whole family. Please pray for me and my family as much as possible. When are all these prayers going to be answered? And please tell me about your experiences with the DMSO. i havent heard good things about it and ive tried to avoid it but now the NP wants to do it. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. my mom and dad r both lutheran pastors and they prayer for me constantly and i love them for that.

Laura,

I can't help you with personal experience from DSMO, but I have heard that for some people it does help them. My heart goes out to you, being so young and having to deal with all this. I don't know much about the LUVE procedure, but Lorraine Gillespie writes about it in her book, "You don't have to live with Cystitis". It might be worth looking into. I believe you saw Dr. Moldwin. What did he suggest? I will pray that you find relief very soon!

DMSO instillations did help me, but the first few treatments were extremely painful. I was ready to stop them when I slept through one whole night. That was enough to convince me to continue. I started with eight weekly treatments, then went to a once a month schedule for several years.

One precaution --- be very sure that the DMSO is diluted so the solution instilled is 25% or less DMSO.

My experience with DMSO was not good....I think it made me worse for quite a while but I was getting 50% DMSO. I personally wish I tried other things before ever trying DMSO. Rescue installtions are considered to be the instillations of choice these days.
Good luck!
