I was not sure where to put this question, but I thought this was the best place. I have a prolapsed bladder and lately it has been driving me nuts, it is visible in the vagina, it feels like my bladder is falling out, and I have a constant feeling of pressure down there, for a long time I did keagels for it and it helped for quite a while, but it is not helping anymore, I am unsure on what to do because my uro told me having my bladder tacked up could make my ic worse, so what the heck do I do, I cant win for loosing, I think if I get my bladder tacked up it would help with pressure feeling down in my vagina, it is an uncomftorable feeling that drives me nuts. If anyone had there bladder tacked up after they had ic, please let me know how you did, I know that icn Donna had a sling put in and she did well with it, I just dont know what to do. Where does it end? it's always something :help:

One thing you might consider is seeing a different doctor for a second opinion. That doesn't mean you need to change doctors --- and any good doctor will encourage second opinions.
Warm hugs,

I'm so sorry that you're going through this! My best friend had a bladder prolapse & just had a sling & a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. She's already feeling much better than she was before the surgery. She doesn't have IC, so I don't know how a sling would affect that. She did have horrible frequency before the surgery & this has helped her constant gotta go feeling. I would say that this needs to be fixed asap! I couldn't imagine seeing my bladder through my vagina! If you don't get this fixed, it will keep dropping more & more & your entire bladder could fall out! Best of luck to you!

I have IC, been diagnosed for almost a year now. Funny thing is, all I thought I had was a prolapsed bladder. My gyn kept nagging me to have it taken care of, but I told him I would when the pain got the best of me. I'm in management and stand long hours, so eventually it did get the best of me. He referred me to a urologist to do the surgery. I explained all the awful pain I was having (thinking it was only because my bladder had fallen) only to get the shock of my life.... he told me he suspected something else was wrong. After some tests (hydrodistention and others) he told me I had IC. I've been under his care now for almost a year taking various meds and going through countless instillations, only to feel like my prolapsed bladder was the real problem. I finally had the surgery in October and it helped some, but did nothing for the IC. I don't have the "gonna deliver a baby any minute" feeling and I don't have the leg pain that I had when standing for long periods of time now since having my bladder suspended. I don't feel it bothered or helped my IC though. For a short time after my surgery I suffered with leaking, but that eventually stopped.
