Well ...here we go again! Started middle of the night last night with the urgency and had to get up hour after hour after hour...
Then this morning the pain is back with that horrible pressure. I've been on Elmiron since Jan 1 and havn't had a flare up like this since the very beginning.
I've been planning to go to Lancaster with some friends and I really hate to cancel out at the last minute but can you imagine a 4 hour car ride like this? I can't. DH says he thinks it's "just" the stress of planning to go away .... may be he's right, but it doesn't really matter why if there's nothing I can do to stop it before tomorrow .....
I am sooooo bummed out ....want to scream!! I've been crying so much this morning ....
I'm taking so much stuff right now that I'm finally getting groggy and may just take my heating pad to bed for a little while ...
So, what do you think? Is it stress induced? Does this mean that any plans I make from here on are doomed? No wonder my friends hardly call me any more ...I don't blame them at all ....

Liz,
I'm sorry you are feeling bad!!! :grouphug: And YES, I do think stress can cause flares........it sure does for me. Yesterday was a prime example of that! :(
What I do when I travel is just stop drinking fluids for several hours before I leave......so I have less pit stops. If I have to, I will take small sips of water but I just try to keep my bladder as empty as possible until I get to where I'm going and by then I'm usually thirsty as can be! LOL
Maybe you should get checked out for a UTI before you leave? Did you eat anything that could've caused the flare?
I hope you feel better soon and can go on your trip!!! :grouphug:

Liz!! I am sooo sorry! But, yep I have worked myself into more than one frenzy fretting over a trip!!! And I know, it's no fun!! And you will see that these episodes will become fewer and far between, I mean, heck, look how long you went this time with no troubles!! :) So, chin up girlie, it will get better and don't toss your social life because of one trip you may have to pass on by - you will get another chance, I promise!!!!!!!! ;)
Hugs!!!!

Thanks to Bella, Kara and Tracey, :grouphug:
You gals are so great to me .... I really appreciate being able to talk to some one who really understands it all! Who better than you to "get it" huh?
Well I've gotten a couple of hours of sleep and feel a little more hopeful ...or maybe it was just unconciousness with the Benadryl. There's apparently no infection. Doc says to call him tomorrow if I need him. Meanwhile I'll do the heating pad and meds until sweetie comes home. I'd like a soak in the tub but won't do it til there's someone else in the house ....just in case.
I spoke to my friend who is driving tomorrow and she says not to worry about it. It's funny in my circle of quilting buddies that the people I really loved at first, turned out to be nowhere when I needed them ....and this gal who was always just an aquaintance has turned out to be one of my biggest supporters ... We spoke on the phone for about 20 minutes (she was probably waiting for me to stop crying) and basically says I have to do what I need to do and not to worry about it ....
She even told me she appreciated MY support so much because I'd given her some advice which she passed on to her cousin .....and he got his disability OK'd. Stuff like that makes me feel useful.....powerful even! LOL!
Thanks again .............. Liz :cat: :dizzy:

I can't tell you the number of times I've been in exactly the same circumstance.... crying before a trip... knowing that there was no way my bladder would take it. The only worse thing is to actually get into the car... and, half way through, be in agony. I learned, early on, that I didn't get in a car for a long car ride if my pain was over a 3. I just hate being in pain and being a way from home.
Big hugs!!
