Ok fellow ICer's My date for surgery with this new doc in NYC has been set for May 2nd at 5:00AM (it's scheduled for 8 hours minimum). I have a LOT of praying to do! I am so soooooooo scared! Now it's my turn to ask all of the questions instead of hunting down the answers. So Continent Urinary Pouchers.....I'm on my way. GET READY! :bow: :bow:

Congratulations Kara! I really think that afterwards once you are over the recovery phase of having the surgery you will be so much better off. I'll be happy to answer any questions. The UOAA also has a web site with a message board and one of the forums is just for continent ostomies. In fact they are having a Regional Conference on the weekend of April 21-23 and I think there will be alot about continent diversions. It is in Mount Laurel, NJ. If you can go it may be worthwhile as I am sure you will get lots of great info, as well as meeting others who have been through it. I am around if you need me. Its great to see you posting something positive! Judith

Lots and lots of healing prayers and energy your way, Kara! When you start feeling anxious or stressed-out, try to take some time to breathe slowly and deeply and repeat some positive affirmations to yourself like, "I am going to be healed" and "Positive healing energy is flowing through me." It may not seem like much, but the mind is a very powerful instrument that works subconsciously on our behalf.
